[Regnum] Excess precipitation is expected in the Northwestern, Siberian, Far Eastern, and Ural Federal Districts in November. Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, announced this on Saturday, November 1.
"Excess precipitation in November will be observed on the Kola Peninsula, in the Murmansk and Leningrad regions, and Karelia, as well as in the northern Urals, including the Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrugs," he told TASS.
According to the forecaster, excess precipitation is expected in the south of the Siberian Federal District, in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Irkutsk Oblast, Khakassia and Tyva, as well as in the southwest of the Far Eastern Federal District – in the Trans-Baikal Krai and Buryatia.
Vilfand clarified that a precipitation deficit in the last month of autumn could be observed in virtually the entire Central Federal District, the Far East, Chukotka, as well as in the Magadan Region, Kamchatka Krai, and northeastern Yakutia.
“In the rest of Russia, precipitation in November is expected to be around normal,” he explained.
Earlier on November 1, Vilfand announced that above-normal temperatures are expected in the Northwestern, Central, Volga, Ural, and Southern Federal Districts in November. However, below-normal temperatures are only forecast for Chukotka, northeastern Yakutia, and northern Kamchatka Krai, he clarified
