[Regnum] On the night of October 29, interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS will pass its closest point to the Sun, and after October 30, it will be visible from Moscow in the morning hours. This was reported on Monday, October 27, by the press service of the Moscow Planetarium.
"After October 30 and until November 17, comet 3I/ATLAS will be visible from Moscow in the morning sky (from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.) above the southeastern horizon," TASS quoted a planetarium representative as saying.
On Wednesday night, the distance from the comet to the Sun will decrease to 1.36 astronomical units.
NASA's Atlas network of automated telescopes, created to track potentially hazardous near-Earth asteroids and other small celestial bodies, discovered the comet on July 1. It is the third interstellar body discovered during the network's observations.
