| QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A 13-year-old boy was injured on Sunday when a bomb detonator exploded in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, a local source reported. The injured boy, identified as Mohammed Mahmoud al-Awad al-Ali, was wounded in an explosion that occurred in the Hawi Mahkan area, east of Deir ez-Zor. According to medical sources, he was transferred to al-Mayadin Hospital to receive necessary treatment, though his medical condition remains unclear. Explosions caused by remnants of war continue to claim victims across Syria, particularly in the eastern regions, where large areas remain contaminated with unexploded ordnance left from years of conflict involving various military actors.
