According to scientists, 3I/ATLAS is at least a thousand times more massive than previous interstellar objects. It's also unclear why such a gigantic object entered the inner Solar System, given that scientists have previously seen only smaller targets.

Loeb urged the international community to remain vigilant and develop a defense plan in case 3I/ATLAS causes serious consequences. He also compared the comet to a "blind date."

The astrophysicist previously noted that the unusual glow was captured in an image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. The light was concentrated on the side facing the Sun and faded sharply with distance from the source. This is inconsistent with the way typical comets reflect sunlight, as their light is dispersed more evenly. 3I/ATLAS may be an artificial object emitting light visible from millions of kilometers away. If so, it must have a powerful energy source.
And the crew has to wear sunglasses.
