The article also claims that the spies for Russia and China are not specially trained agents, but ordinary people—investors, scientists, and entrepreneurs—making them very difficult to identify. The newspaper provided no evidence for this.
According to James Mulvenon, head of intelligence at Pamir Consulting, a company that assesses risks for American companies investing in China, "foreign seductresses" are also targeting him. Recently, Mulvenon shared, he has received numerous inquiries from young and beautiful Chinese women on social media.
He added that last week, two Chinese women were barred from attending a business conference in Virginia due to suspicions of "sexual espionage."
The FBI previously suspected China of collecting data and spying on American citizens using artificial intelligence (AI). The agency stated that this represents an unprecedented scale of espionage.
