[Korrespondent] Soldiers from the 132nd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion planted a Ukrainian flag on one of the buildings in the destroyed village.
Ukrainian troops liberated the village of Kucheriv Yar in the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Wednesday, October 22.
As confirmation, a video was published on social media showing soldiers from the 132nd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion planting the Ukrainian national flag on a building in the destroyed village.
"Kucherov Yar. Pokrovskoe direction. Ukrainian soldiers. Airborne Assault Troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Glory to Ukraine!" reads the commentary accompanying the published footage.
It is known that this settlement was captured by the Russians during the breakthrough to Dobropillya.
Earlier on Wednesday, the DeepState analytics project reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had restored positions near the villages of Novoye Shakhove and Kucherov Yar.
Last week, it was reported that during the Dobropillya operation, Ukrainian Armed Forces units recaptured 412.9 square kilometers in the Pokrovsky district. In the Dobropillya area, the Russian army lost nearly 14,000 soldiers killed, wounded, and captured.
