[Regnum] A Boeing 737 MAX flying at an altitude of 11,000 meters (36,000 feet) was struck by a space object in the skies over the United States. This was reported by Matthew Clint, founder of the aviation portal Live And Let's Fly.
On October 16, the plane was flying from Denver to Los Angeles with 140 passengers on board. The impact shattered the aircraft's windshield, injuring the pilot.
Following the incident, the crew reduced altitude and diverted the plane to Salt Lake City, where it landed safely on the runway. According to the airline, the diversion was necessary to repair a crack in the windshield.
Clint suggested that the incident could have been caused by the plane's collision with a small meteorite or space debris.
