[Regnum] Sam Rivers, co-founder and bassist of the American band Limp Bizkit, has died at 48. The band's members announced this.
"Today we lost our brother, our bandmate, our heart," reads the obituary posted on the band's Instagram page.
According to the band members, Rivers was more than just a guitarist. They called him a magician who brought irreplaceable light and rhythm to music. Producer and Limp Bizkit member Leors Dimants (DJ Lethal) said the guitarist's death was a heavy blow.
"We are shocked. Rest in peace, brother! You will live on through your music and the lives saved by your music, philanthropy, and friendship. We are heartbroken," he wrote.
The cause of the guitarist's death was not reported.
