[Regnum] One of the arms suppliers for the perpetrators of the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack used a fake Russian passport. This was reported by a participant in the trial taking place at the Second Western District Military Court.
"During the court's review of the written case materials, it became known that one of the defendants had repeatedly used a fake Russian passport to travel around Russia's regions," TASS quotes the source as saying.
The forged document helped him evade police and other authorities, the trial participant added. It was not specified which of the defendants used the fake passport.
The terrorist attack at the Crocus Hotel took place on the evening of March 22, 2024. The attackers stormed the building, opened fire, and then set the building on fire. The attack left 150 people dead, one missing, and 609 injured. Four terrorists were detained the following day in the Bryansk region, 100 km from the Ukrainian border. During the investigation, they confessed that the attack was orchestrated by Ukrainian intelligence services.
