[Regnum] Magnetic storms are likely on Earth on October 12, possibly triggered by a coronal hole on the Sun. This was reported on October 10 by specialists from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IKI RAS).
"A coronal hole is currently being observed on the Sun and, apparently, it will begin to affect Earth somewhat earlier than previously predicted, as early as the afternoon of Sunday (October 12)," the laboratory clarified on its Telegram channel.
In this regard, scientists have predicted weak magnetic storms. The coronal hole is located on the solar equator, which guarantees its impact on Earth. The influence of the solar wind will be felt until Tuesday, October 14.
