[Korrespondent] Defense forces have repelled 174 Russian attacks since the beginning of the day.
Since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have attempted to advance on Ukrainian units' positions in the Pokrovsk area 37 times.
Since the start of the day, 174 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Ukrainian defenders are decisively repelling Russian attempts to advance deeper into our territory, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Tuesday, October 7.
In the Severo-Slobodskoy and Kursk directions, soldiers repelled six assaults by the occupiers. In the Yuzhno-Slobodskoy direction, the enemy assaulted our units' positions 28 times in the areas of Vovchansk, Vovchanskiye Khutors, Tikhoye, Ambarny, Kamyanka, Bologovka, Zapadny, Krasny Pervye, Dolgenkoye, and in the direction of Kolodezny, Dvurechansky, and Kutkovka. Three combat clashes remain unfinished.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces conducted offensive operations near Kupyansk and toward Petrovpavlivka, Novoplatonovka, Peschanoye, and Stepnaya Novoselivka. Ukrainian defenders stopped four enemy attacks, and three more clashes are ongoing.
In the Liman direction, Russian invaders attacked Defense Force positions nine times near the villages of Sredneye, Shandrigolovo, Novoselovka, Derilovo, and Torskoye, with three clashes still ongoing. In the Seversky direction, Defense Forces repelled nine enemy attacks near Yampol, Grigorovka, Vyemka, and Serebryanka.
The enemy did not conduct any offensive operations in the Kramatorsk sector. In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces launched 17 offensive attacks against Ukrainian units in the areas of Oleksandro-Shultinoye, Shcherbinovka, Pleshchyivka, Rusynyi Yar, and Poltavka. Defense forces halted the enemy advance. One clash is still ongoing.
Since the start of the day, the occupiers have attempted to advance on Ukrainian units in the Pokrovsk area 37 times. The enemy attacked our troop positions near the villages of Vladimirovka, Nikanorovka, Sukhetske, Mirolyubovka, Novoye Shakhove, Ivanovka, Rodinske, Krasny Liman, Myrnohrad, Novoekonomicheskoye, Lisovka, Pokrovsk, Kotlin, Udachnoye, Molodetskoye, Novomikolaevka, Gorikhove, Dachnoye, Filiya, and in the direction of Novopavlovka. One clash is still ongoing.
According to preliminary data, 144 enemy troops were neutralized in this area today, 99 of them permanently. Ukrainian forces also destroyed one vehicle, one piece of specialized equipment, and 15 unmanned aerial vehicles. Three vehicles and 10 enemy personnel shelters were also hit.
In the Novopavlovka direction, the enemy attempted to break through our defenders' defenses 27 times in the areas of the settlements of Zaporizhzhia, Aleksandrograd, Sechnevoye, Novoselovka, Novogeorgievka, Sosnovka, Vorone, Novogeorgievka, Kalinovskoye, Novogrigorovka, Voskresenka, Alekseyevka, Stepovoye, Berezovoye, and Novoivanovka. Four clashes are ongoing.
In the Hulyai-Polye direction, Russian forces attempted 11 offensives near Poltavka and Malinovka and were repelled. Zheleznichnoye was subjected to an airstrike. In the Orekhovsky direction, the Defense Forces repelled seven attacks by invaders near Plavni, Stepovoye, and in the direction of Stepnogorsk and Novoandriyevka.
In the Dnipropetrovsk area, Russian troops made three unsuccessful attempts to improve their position. The enemy launched an airstrike on Sadovoye.
As a reminder, over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated 1,020 occupiers . Since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, the Russian army has lost 1,117,360 service members.
