[Korrespondent] The greatest Russian activity remains in the Pokrovsky direction. There, Russian invaders are attempting to attack areas around 16 populated areas.
Since the beginning of the current day, 113 combat clashes have occurred between Ukrainian defenders and Russian occupiers. Most of these clashes were recorded in five directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in an operational report on Monday, October 6.
Thus, four military clashes have occurred in the Severo-Slobodskoy and Kursk directions since the beginning of the day.
Eight enemy attacks have been repelled in the Yuzhno-Slobodskoy direction , with four more clashes still ongoing. The enemy is attempting to advance in the areas of Vovchanskiye Khutors, Kamyanka, Stroyevka, and toward Bologovka, Kolodyaznoye, and Odradnoye.
In the Kupyansk direction, the invaders launched five attacks near the villages of Kupyansk and Redkovka, and toward Petrovpavlovka and Boguslavka. Two combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Liman sector, Russian occupiers attempted to breach Ukrainian Armed Forces defenses four times near the villages of Ridkodub, Myrne, and Shandrigolovo. Two of these clashes are still ongoing.
In the Seversky direction, the Defense Forces repelled 10 attacks near Hryhorivka and in the direction of Dronivka and Yampol. Three more combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy once attacked the positions of our defenders in the direction of the village of Stupochki.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 14 assaults in the areas of Rusiny Yar, Katerynivka, Shcherbinovka, and Pleshchyivka. Currently, fighting is ongoing in three locations.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders launched 40 attacks near the settlements of Nikanorovka, Mayak, Rodynskoye, Chervony Liman, Razine, Novoekonomichnoe, Mirolyubovka, Lisovka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Kotlin, Udachnoye, Gorikhovoe, Filiya, and toward Novopavlovka and Vladimirovka. Defense forces have repelled 35 enemy attacks. Five combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the enemy attempted to break through in the areas of the settlements of Zeleny Gai, Yalta, Poddubnoye, Voskresenka, Sichnevoye, Sosnovka, Vorone, and Novogrigorovka. Our soldiers repelled 12 enemy assaults, with four more attacks ongoing.
In the Gulyai-Pole direction, the enemy attempted to attack near Poltavka six times and was repulsed.
In the Orekhovsky direction, the Defense Forces repelled three attacks by invaders near Stepovoye and Kamyanskoye.
One battle is currently ongoing in the Dnieper direction .
As a reminder, Russia lost nearly 1,100 soldiers killed and wounded in the 24 hours of September 5. The total number of Russian casualties is approaching 1.2 million.
