[Korrespondent] The most intense fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk and Novopavlovske directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
As of 10:00 PM on Saturday, October 4, 143 combat clashes have been recorded on the front. The enemy is actively using aircraft and drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Over the course of 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 57 airstrikes, dropped 119 guided bombs, launched 3,890 kamikaze drones, and carried out more than 3,000 shelling attacks on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions and civilian settlements.
The most intense fighting is in the Pokrovsky and Novopavlovsky directions:
Pokrovsk direction: the enemy attempted to breach Ukrainian Armed Forces defenses 44 times near more than 15 settlements, including Volodymyrivka, Rodynske, Promne, and Myrnohrad. In response, Ukrainian forces destroyed 126 occupiers (79 permanently), 33 drones, a vehicle, and seven field shelters.
Novopavlovskoye direction: 23 attacks in the areas of Sosnovka, Yalta, Poddubny, Zelenyi Gai, Novomikolaevka, and Verbovoye. Fighting continues.
Other directions:
Severo-Slobodzhansky and Kursk: 6 attacks (2 ongoing), 7 airstrikes, 20 aerial bombs, 154 shellings.
Yuzhno-Slobodzhansky: 11 attacks stopped, one more is in progress.
Kupyansk: fighting continues near Kupyansk, Petrovpavlovka and Stepnaya Novosyolka.
Limansky: 13 attacks were recorded in the area of ​​Shandrigolovo, Torskoye, and Drobishevo.
Seversky: 8 attacks repelled near Grigoryevka, Seversk, Serebryanka and Yampol.
Kramatorsk: one unsuccessful attempt at an assault in the Predtechnoye area.
Toretsky: 10 attacks near Shcherbinovka, Toretsk, Poltavka, Ivanopol - two battles are still ongoing.
Gulyaipolsky: no offensive, but the enemy launched an airstrike on Zheleznodorozhny.
Orekhovsky: one attack on Novodanilovka was repelled.
Pridneprovsky: three assaults near Odradokamyanka - unsuccessful.
In other areas, the situation is under control, without significant changes.
The heroism of the soldiers of the 40th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade, who steadfastly held their positions in their direction, was noted.
The General Staff previously reported that an oil refinery and a missile ship were hit in Russia.
