| No BLS employment report - private company reports slowing economy |

| The BLS report on September employment is postponed because of the federal govt shutdown. The ADP company which processes payroll actions for over 10M employees reports a job loss for September. However, the 10M in their reports is a small fraction of the employment numbers that get reported to the BLS. Also, ADP has similar revision problems as the BLS (e.g, terminations that include a period of part time work, multiple jobs by the same employee). |
