| [IsraelTimes] Prosecutors have submitted a pre-indictment filing against an East Jerusalem man accused of stabbing people earlier this month at a hotel outside the city where he worked, according to a police statement. A 50-year-old man was seriously injured and a 23-year-old man suffered moderate injuries in the September 12 attack at a hotel on Kibbutz Tzuba during a family event. The suspect, identified in the pre-charge filing as a maintenance worker from Shuafat, was subdued and arrested by an off-duty police investigator staying at the hotel. According to police, the suspected assailant told investigators that he “stabbed them because they were Jews, and because I wanted to be shot afterward. That's still possible A state prosecution official confirms the police statement, which says an indictment is expected in the coming days. The statement, which refers to the suspect as a terrorist, does not specify what charges he will face. |
