According to Israel's public broadcaster, Kan, cabinet minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf stated that Netanyahu lacks a mandate for such an agreement, insisting that "we must complete the mission in Gaza."
In a post on X, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir remarked, "Mr. Prime Minister, you have no mandate to end the war without decisively defeating Hamas."
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich expressed his desire to see Hamas defeated and the return of captives held in Gaza, asserting that he would "never agree to a Palestinian state—even if it is challenging, even if it comes at a cost, and even if it takes time."
