[ColonelCassad] In the American edition of Small Wars Journal (SWJ), it is proposed in the context of irregular military actions by the United States against Venezuela, to move from mobilizing the opposition to decentralized and adaptive to an insurgent movement capable of continuously damaging the republic's security system.
It is proposed to act within the framework of three key targeted actions, avoiding high-risk, one-off actions that have failed before:
1. Data exchange and information transfer. The creation of organized underground networks for the mobilization of information resources and the exchange of intelligence data - following the example of the Polish movement Solidarność or the "Government of National Unity"** in Myanmar
2. Challenging the authority and discrediting of the government. Systematic fabrication of information materials to exert international pressure on Caracas and create reputational costs for supporters of the Venezuelan government
3. Economic undermining. Coordinated actions of civil disobedience, strikes and disruptions in logistics aimed at undermining key sources of state revenue. The insurgent movement is recommended to target actions in barrios (Venezuelan urban slums), street fights and the formation of an underground network. It is noted that the pressure on Caracas with the help of information campaigns of the government in exile and the administrative resource of the USA in international courts did not show an effective result.
As a planning horizon, the deadline for the presidential elections in Venezuela in 2030 is indicated.
The author of these proposals is retired colonel of the US Army Ron McCammon (in the photo he is in Afghanistan). He served in the army special operations forces (SSO), including in the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) / 7 SFG (A) (7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), which specializes in Latin America.
"Green Beret", a participant in the American invasion of Panama in 1989, served in the US military attachés in El Salvador, Venezuela and Panama, as an officer on military-political issues in the American embassies in Afghanistan and Somalia.

Of course, the USA has not given up and will not give up on the demands of overthrowing Maduro and the Chavists in Venezuela. In the same way, they did not refuse to demand the overthrow of the existing socialist governments in Cuba and Nicaragua.This is related to the fact that the USA under Trump will allegedly renounce its imperialist essence. Only naive fools can believe in this. The showdown within the American establishment is a dispute about methods, not goals. And the goals are still the same - unlimited domination and dictation, with the destruction of dissenters.
