| State Rep. Mai Xiong chops head off chicken while bragging about effort to ''slay Republicans'' - The Midwesterner |

| [THEMIDWESTERNER.NEWS] Michigan state Rep. Mai Xiong regularly lectures her online critics about how mean words and loaded language lead to ''political violence against public officials.'' The Warren Democrat also likes to create videos about how she works to ''slay Republicans,'' she describes as ''MAGA bad boys'' and ''monsters,'' while relentlessly promoting herself on X and TikTok. ''I respect and know that being an elected official means hearing many different kinds of opinions. I expect criticism — but this kind of hateful rhetoric is not debate,'' Xiong recently posted to X in response to online attacks. ''It's is [sic] harmful, dangerous, and not only fuels political violence, it's verbal abuse. This behavior must stop.'' The post followed just three days after the liquidation of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University, and roughly a week after Xiong herself posted a video to TikTok in which she chopped off a chicken's head while discussing how to ''slay Republicans.'' ''Being a nyab, I'm always ready for any battle against Republicans,'' the Hmong politician said in the video as she chopped lemongrass with a massive machete, likening her work in Lansing to making ''Ancient Hmong Chicken Soup.'' ''What's a nyab you say? It's being a good, loyal daughter in law and wife that Republicans pretend to want but have no respect for, a woman who knows how to cook, clean, and take care of herself and her babies all at the same time, always looking flawless because you never know who's going to knock on the door or show up unannounced like that annoying uncle who can't stop talking about Trump,'' she ranted as she stirred boiling chicken parts in a pot. ''I'm making Hmong chicken soup. I have to sharpen my sword first,'' she continued with a dead chicken on a cutting board, neck stretched out in preparation for a beheading. The video cuts out as she does the deed, then returns with Xiong laughing as she chops the dead bird into bits. ''After a week of debating them on the floor, I'm so relieved to finally be able to take my stress out on the chopping block,'' she said. ''I pull out the insides and toss it in the trash like listening to the garbage they spew is the most disgusting thing ever. I use free range chicks. They're never cooped up, despite Republicans always wanting to cage them. ''They're independent with that extra lean flavor and smell Republicans can't stand to swallow,'' Xiong narrated. ''Now I'm ready to submerge their tiny little egos in boiling hot water. I let it cook for about 30 minutes, longer than they can stand being in the same room or elevator as me. ''This simple ancient recipe, unlike their unstable complex personality, only calls for three things: just lemongrass, salt, and a dash of pepper,'' she said. ''Oh my God, so mouthwatering.'' |
