Cox, in a series of interviews on Sunday morning talk shows, revealed that Robinson's romantic partner, as well as his family are all cooperating with the FBI investigation into Kirk's killing.
He also reiterated that Robinson was ''deeply indoctrinated in leftist ideology.''
''That information comes from the people around him — his family members and friends,'' Cox told CNN

The Utah governor didn't elaborate on specific beliefs that Robinson espoused. He had first told the Wall Street Journal that Robinson was ''deeply indoctrinated.''
Cox also explained that authorities are still working to figure out a motive and plan to file charges against the 22-year-old suspected shooter on Tuesday.
The governor also confirmed The Post's reporting that Robinson's roommate is transgender, but he was cautious about tying that to his motive.
''The roommate was a romantic partner, a male transitioning to female,'' Cox said. ''This partner has been incredibly cooperative [and] had no idea that this was happening. And, he's working with Sherlocks right now.''
Recently, Cox spoke with President Trump about the shooting.
''It was a long conversation where we talked about lots of things, but it was very sobering,'' Cox recounted. ''He [Trump] knows better than anyone as someone who literally was injured by a bullet.''
''I understand he's also very angry. And I get that this is his close personal friend,'' he added. ''Anger is a normal reaction.''

The accused killer could face execution by a firing squad if he is found guilty and prosecutors secure the death penalty against him.
President Donald Trump said he wants to see the killer get the death penalty for the assassination of Kirk, whom he described as the 'finest person'.
Kirk's funeral is set for September 21 at State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals.
