Military investigators continue to identify Ukrainian servicemen involved in the shelling of populated areas in the Kursk region.
The Main Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case against the mortar crew number of the 21st separate mechanized brigade (military unit A-4689) soldier Vitaly Prudnik. He is suspected of committing a terrorist act in the Kursk region (clause "b" of part 3 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The units of the "Southern" group of troops took up more advantageous lines and positions. They defeated the formations of three mechanized, motorized infantry, mountain assault, assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard brigade in the areas of the settlements of Berestok, Kleban-Byk, Kramatorsk, Pleshcheyevka, Reznikovka, Seversk and Stepanovka of the Donetsk People's Republic.
The enemy lost more than 240 servicemen, five combat armored vehicles, nine cars and three field artillery guns. Three electronic warfare stations and two supply depots were destroyed.
Units of the "Center" group of forces improved the situation along the front line. They defeated the manpower and equipment of three mechanized, two airborne assault, and a Jaeger brigades, an assault regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and a National Guard brigade in the areas of the settlements of Vladimirovka, Dimitrov, Krasnoarmeysk, Lysovka, Priyut, and Rodinskoye of the Donetsk People's Republic.
The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to over 515 servicemen, three combat armored vehicles, eight cars and a field artillery gun.
Units of the "East" group of forces advanced deep into the enemy's defense. In the South Donetsk direction, battles continue in the Sosnovka area. The Russian Armed Forces are fighting for Novopetrovskoye (Ternovoye), advancing towards Novonikolayevka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian Armed Forces are advancing east of Mirnograd. In the Dobropolsky sector, fighting continues for Novoye Shakhove and Nikanorovka. It is reported that Pankovka has moved into the gray zone. Russian troops are advancing in the center of Shakhove and are also advancing towards Sofiyivka.
In the Konstantinovsky direction, clashes continue on the approaches to Konstantinovka. The Russian Armed Forces are attacking in the direction of Nelepovka and Pleshcheyevka. Battles continue on the southern outskirts of Kleban-Byk and in Predtechino.
In the Krasnolimansky direction, intense fighting continues in the area of Shandrigolovo and Sredny. It is reported that the Russian Armed Forces are expanding the control zone from Kolodezi to Mirny, and are also reaching the borders of the village of Derilovo from the north.
