Employees of the Ingush FSB department opened a case against a resident of the village of Nesterovskoye, considering his comments on Telegram to be a justification of terrorism.
The accused is 25 years old and is charged with publicly justifying terrorism via the Internet (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Russian Criminal Code provides for imprisonment from five to seven years).
The reason for the criminal case against a resident of the Sunzhensky district was his comment in a public Telegram group, left in January 2023.
The comment that the young man left under one of the group’s publications mentioned a certain “member of an international terrorist organization” convicted by the Southern District Military Court for a number of terrorist crimes, according to a message from the official Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia.
The agency did not specify who exactly was being discussed in the comment. Employees of the FSB expert unit found “linguistic and psychological signs of justification of terrorism” in the comment.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the accused is under a written undertaking not to leave the country. The "Caucasian Knot" does not yet have any comments from the accused or her representatives regarding the security forces' version.
