Speaking in the bunker of the country's Air Force headquarters, he said that in recent days the Israeli military had demolished 50 high-rise buildings in Gaza that were allegedly used by the Palestinian movement Hamas.
"All this is just an introduction and a prelude to the main powerful operation - the ground maneuver of our forces, which are now being organized and entering Gaza City. I say to the residents of Gaza (...) listen to me carefully: you have been warned, get out of there," Netanyahu said.
On the morning of September 8, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened to destroy Gaza if Hamas did not lay down its arms. According to him, the Israeli Armed Forces continue to act according to plan and are preparing to expand military operations.
Earlier, the Palestinian movement expressed its readiness to begin negotiations on the release of all Israeli hostages. According to representatives of the movement, the discussion will take place if Hamas receives a clear statement about the end of the war. The list of demands also includes the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza and the formation of a committee for the management of the sector by independent Palestinians.
On September 7, US President Donald Trump called on Hamas to accept the proposed terms for settling the conflict in the Gaza Strip. He pointed out that Israel had already accepted his proposals and Hamas needed to do the same. Trump stressed that he had warned the movement's representatives about the consequences of refusing to settle.
