[Korrespondent] Almost half of the Russian attacks are concentrated in the Novopavlovsk direction and near Pokrovsk.
Since the beginning of this day, 103 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Ukrainian troops have successes in Sumy region and in the Kupyansk area in Kharkiv region, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in an operational report on Friday, September 5.
Thus, in the Severo-Slobodskoye (Sumy region – ed.) and Kursk directions, four military clashes occurred, two of which are ongoing.
"At the same time, Ukrainian units carried out active operations and achieved success in certain areas," the statement said.
One attack by Russian troops has been repelled in the Yuzhno-Slobodskoy direction. Another military clash is still ongoing. The enemy is trying to advance in the Vovchansk area.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian occupiers tried unsuccessfully to break through our defenses six times in the areas of the settlements of Kupyansk, Radkovka, Petrovpavlovka and Kolesnikovka. In turn, Ukrainian units carried out active actions and had success in certain areas.
In the Liman direction, the invaders carried out 12 attacks near the settlements of Andreyevka, Druzhelyubovka, Kolodezi, Drobyshevo and in the direction of Olgovka and Shandrigolovoe. Four combat clashes continue.
Three attacks have been stopped in the Seversky direction, four more combat clashes are ongoing. The enemy is trying to advance near Grigoryevka, Serebryanka, Dronovka and in the direction of Dibrova.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out five assaults in the areas of Pleshchievka, Rusiny Yar and Poltavka. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders carried out 26 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Shakhovo, Nikanorovka, Rodinskoye, Novoekonomicheskoye, Shevchenko, Promen, Pokrovsk, Kotlin, Udachnoye, Dachnoye and in the direction of Filiya and Novopavlovka. The defense forces have already repelled 19 enemy attacks.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the enemy tried to break through the defense in the areas of the settlements of Aleksandrovgrad, Voskresenka, Temirovka, Shevchenko, Maliyevka, Komyshuvakha. Our soldiers repelled 15 enemy assaults, six more attacks are ongoing.
In the Orekhov direction, one attack by the invaders towards Stepnogorsk was stopped.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Dnieper, Kramatorsk and Gulyai-Polye directions.
Let us recall that in the course of 24 hours on September 4, the Ukrainian Armed Forces "minus" more than 800 Russians. Russia's total losses since the beginning of the war will soon exceed 1.1 million people killed and wounded.
