[Regnum] In Yekaterinburg, security forces detained a local resident who is involved in the activities of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC, a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation). This was reported on September 3 by the security forces.
“Today, security forces in Yekaterinburg detained a local resident involved in the activities of the terrorist organization Russian Volunteer Corps,” a source told TASS.
He noted that a criminal case was opened against the detainee under Part 1 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls to commit terrorist activity, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism"). According to security forces, he was drawing graffiti in support of a terrorist organization.
A search was conducted in the suspect's house, and his personal belongings, which he was wearing when the crime was committed, were seized. In addition, sketches and drawings with extremist symbols were found in his apartment. Tattoos, including extremist ones, were found on the detainee's body.
On July 13, one of the leaders of the RDC, the son of the director of the series "My Fair Nanny" Vasily Kiryushchenko (included by Rosfinmonitoring in the list of terrorists and extremists), born in 1974, was put on the wanted list in the Russian Federation. He is accused of calling for terrorism and organizing the activities of a terrorist organization.
