The Russian leader said that in the morning he and his Korean counterpart took part in the ceremonial events held by Chinese friends in honor of the 80th anniversary of the victory. In particular, the leaders attended a large-scale military parade on Tiananmen Square.
“All these events were held brilliantly, simply very well, at a high level,” Putin clarified.
He added that all these events directly concern Russia and the DPRK.
On the morning of September 3, festive events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory over militarist Japan and the end of World War II began in Tiananmen Square in the capital of China.
Putin arrived in China on August 31 for a four-day visit. He arrived in Tianjin, where the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit and meetings in the SCO Plus format are taking place. Bilateral talks between the Russian and Chinese leaders are scheduled for September 2. The following day, Beijing will host celebratory events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory over militarist Japan and the end of World War II.
