For some time, he served in the 140th Marine Reconnaissance Battalion as a deep reconnaissance company commander, but later transferred to the 801st PDSS Center. It is also stated that the unit of the 801st center allegedly received an order from the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Syrsky, to carry out a mission in the area of ​​the towers, but the commander of the center refused the mission, for which he was immediately transferred.
