[Korrespondent] Russia is not preparing for a ceasefire and a ceasefire, but on the contrary, it continues to prepare for new offensive operations, said Volodymyr Zelensky.
The DeepState analytical center reports that Russian troops have intensified their advance in the direction of Dobropillya in recent days, in particular, they are trying to gain a foothold near the Dobropillya-Kramatorsk highway.
DANGEROUS DIRECTION
As reported by the DeepState project, the enemy, with the help of a superior number of infantry, entered the settlements of Kucherov Yar and Zolotoy Kolodets, where they are accumulating forces for a further offensive. From Kucherev Yar, the Russians advanced to the village of Vesyoloye, where about 20 Russian military personnel have been recorded over the past 24 hours.
At the same time, Russian units are trying to advance in the area of Novovodanoye and Petrovka, looking for weak spots in the defense to reach the Dobropolye-Kramatorsk highway.
"The situation is developing quite chaotically, because the enemy, having found gaps in the defense, is infiltrating deep, trying to quickly gain a foothold, to accumulate for further advancement, while some people in the command of a certain brigade either do not understand the full depth of the problem, or present the situation as "controlled", in which "everyone was killed, everyone was stopped." However, the military themselves, who are holding the defense there and trying to understand what is happening, do not agree with this," DeepState notes.
In the area of Zolotoy Kolodyaz, Shakhovoy and neighboring settlements, new engineering and fortification structures have been erected, however, as the military notes, the enemy can bypass them and use them for its own defense.
IMPORTANT ROUTE
DeepState warns that if Russian troops consolidate their positions in the captured villages and the offensive continues to develop, the situation could threaten to cause Dobropolye to fall more quickly than Pokrovsk.
"The enemy already has predetermined end points that it must reach, and today they are implementing their plans, trying to completely occupy Zolotoy Kolodets, Kucherov Yar, Veseloye and other settlements. After the final consolidation and accumulation, there will be mandatory attempts to move into the depths of the territory, and drone crews will be pulled up, which will complicate the restructuring of alternative logistics and the holding of surrounding positions for the Defense Forces. With such a development of events, if it does not change, we may face the fact that Dobropolye will fall faster than Pokrovsk."
The expansion of the "gut" that Russian troops formed on the Pokrovsk-Konstantinovka road and extended north to Zolotoy Kolodets and Novovodanoye effectively means the final loss of this route. Until June 2025, it was the main transport artery between the cities, but it was closed after massive attacks by Russian drones on civilian and military transport.
In addition, this "gut" poses a serious threat to Dobropillya, a large settlement around which an eastern "pincer" is being formed to encircle the city, as well as to the still passable roads to it. Due to the rapid advance of the Russians, the distance to one of the key routes has been reduced to 10 kilometers, which, given the active use of FPV drones, poses a significant danger.
NEW ATTACKS
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on the evening of August 11 that Ukrainian intelligence has no information that Russian troops have received signals to prepare for a post-war situation; on the contrary, they are planning offensive operations.
On Monday, the head of state heard a report from intelligence and military command about what Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin is counting on and what he is actually preparing for.
"In particular, these are military preparations. He is certainly not preparing for a ceasefire and a ceasefire. Putin is only set on presenting the meeting with America as his personal victory and continuing to act as before, to put pressure on Ukraine as before. There is not a single sign that the Russians have received signals to prepare for a post-war situation, not yet. On the contrary, they are moving their troops and forces in such a way as to begin new offensive operations," the president said.
Zelensky added that Ukraine continues to inform its partners about the real situation on the battlefield, in diplomacy and in Russia's planning for further actions.
