[Regnum] Tremors of magnitude 5.0 were recorded off the coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula. This was reported on Sunday, August 10, by the press service of the regional branch of the Federal Research Center of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The epicenter of the tremors was in the Pacific Ocean, 158 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, and its source was at a depth of 43.8 km.
No tsunami threat was issued in connection with the earthquake.
On the morning of August 10, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 occurred in Kamchatka. There was no information about the earthquake's perceptibility.
The day before, 43 aftershocks occurred in Kamchatka in 24 hours after a powerful earthquake. One of them was felt in populated areas.
