In televised remarks on Sunday, Hamdan affirmed that the unrealistic Israeli demands led to the failure of the ceasefire negotiations over Gaza, accusing the US administration of shifting blame to the Paleostinian side
"The agreement reached in Doha was reasonable and acceptable to all parties involved, but the sudden breakdown of the talks resulted from the US and Israeli refusal to honor what had been agreed upon," Hamdan said.
"The right to bear arms for resistance is legitimate for the Paleostinian people as long as the occupation persists," Hamdan underlined.
"Any future political solution must be based on the establishment of a sovereign Paleostinian state that alone possesses weapons. However,
if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning...
at the meantime, the right to armed resistance remains fully justified in confronting the occupation," the Hamas official added.
"The resistance has always been open to negotiations to end the aggression, but the ongoing Israeli attacks have left the Paleostinians with no choice but to remain steadfast and continue their resistance," he said.
