[Korrespondent] The largest number of Russian assaults have been recorded in the Pokrovsky direction. There, the enemy is advancing in the areas of 12 populated areas.
Since the beginning of the current day, there have been 77 combat clashes between the Ukrainian army and the Russian invaders on the front. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report as of 16:00 on Friday, August 8.
Thus, in the Severo-Slobodskoy and Kursk directions, six enemy attacks have already been repelled. Another clash continues.
In the South Slobodskoy direction, the enemy attacked twice in the Vovchansk area and in the direction of Novovasilyevka.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian occupiers carried out three attacks in the areas of Mirny, Kupyansk and in the direction of Novaya Kruglyakovka. One clash is still ongoing.
In the Liman direction, the enemy carried out 14 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Grekovka, Karpovka, Kolodyagi, Torskoye, Dibrova, as well as in the direction of Shandrigolovoe. Five combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Seversky direction, Russian units twice attempted to advance near Grigoryevka and Fyodorovka.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attempted three times to penetrate the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defenses in the areas of Toretsk and Pleshchievka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the occupiers carried out 25 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Zvirovoe, Vladimirovka, Rodinskoye, Chervony Liman, Lisovka, Kotlinoe, Udachnoye, Novoukrainka, Zeleny Kut, as well as in the direction of Kazatskoye, Dorozhnoye, Novopavlovka. The defense forces have already repelled 24 attacks.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, our defenders stopped six assaults. Another six clashes are still ongoing. The enemy is trying to advance in the areas of the settlements of Filiya, Zelenoe Pole, Tolstoy, Temirovka, Maliyevka, Novopol and Olgovskoye.
In the Gulyai-Polye direction, the enemy carried out one unsuccessful attack in the Malinovka area.
In the Orekhov direction, Ukrainian units repelled an attack by the invaders in the direction of Novoandreyevka.
In the Dnieper direction, the Defense Forces repelled six enemy attacks.
