[Korrespondent] The most active fighting continues in the Pokrovsk direction. There, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already stopped 20 Russian assaults.
Since the beginning of the current day, 61 combat clashes have occurred on the front. The Russians are attacking in nine directions, and in five there is a lull. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report as of 16:00 on Tuesday, August 5.
Thus, in the Severo-Slobodskoy and Kursk directions, seven armed clashes have occurred since the beginning of the day, two of which are still ongoing.
In the Yuzhno-Slobodskoye direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped three Russian attacks in the areas of Vovchansk and Figolovka.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian occupiers twice attempted to break through near Stepova Novoselovka and Zagrizove.
In the Liman direction, the invaders carried out 11 attacks near the settlements of Olgovka, Novy Mir, Glushchenkovoe, Torskoye, Serebryanka, Grigoryevka and in the direction of Cherneshchina, Sredny, Shandrigolovove. Four clashes continue.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out seven assaults in the areas of Toretsk, Dilievka and Shcherbinovka. One battle continues.
In the Pokrovsky direction, Russian invaders carried out 24 assaults in the areas of the settlements of Popov Yar, Vladimirovka, Boykovka, Suvorovo, Novoekonomicheskoe, Mirolyubovka, Nikolaevka, Rodinskoye, Lisovka, Zvirovo, Udachnoye, Novoukrainka, Alekseyevka, as well as in the direction of Novopavlovka. The defense forces repelled 20 enemy attacks, four clashes are ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the enemy tried to break through in the areas of the settlements of Poddubnoye, Voskresenka, Shevchenko, Temirovka and in the direction of Ivanovka. The defense forces repelled two attacks, three more are ongoing.
In the Orekhov direction, the invaders attacked twice in the direction of Primorsky.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Dnieper, Seversk, Kramatorsk, Gulyai-Polye and Dnieper directions.
Let us recall that in one day on August 4, Russia lost 1,120 fighters killed and wounded. The enemy also lost two tanks, 12 armored vehicles and almost three dozen artillery systems.
