[Regnum] The largest oil and gas field in the last 25 years has been discovered in the southeastern part of Brazil. This was reported by the press service of the British energy company BP.
The field, dubbed Boomerang, is located in the Santos Basin, approximately 400 km from Rio de Janeiro, and covers a vast area of over 300 square kilometers. It is the tenth field discovered by BP in 2025.
On the news, BP shares rose 1.5% on the London Stock Exchange.
