[Regnum] On August 3, the head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, appointed Lieutenant General Anatoly Krivonozhko as the new commander of the Ukrainian Air Force.
“Today I appointed Lieutenant General Anatoly Krivonozhko as Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Since August 2024, Krivonozhko has been acting commander of the Ukrainian Air Force. He took up this post after the resignation of Nikolai Oleshchuk (an individual included in the Russian Federation's list of terrorists and extremists).
The official reason for his resignation was not announced, however, according to preliminary data, it could be connected with the scandal surrounding the first combat loss of an F-16 fighter. At the same time, former Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov denied this version.
On July 16, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and the entire government of Ukraine. Yulia Svyrydenko, who previously held the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Economics, was appointed the new Prime Minister. Shmyhal took the post of Minister of Defense of the country, and Umerov was appointed Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).
Before this, the head of the Kiev regime appointed 46-year-old Brigadier General Gennady Shapovalov as the new commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Shapovalov's predecessor was General Mykhailo Drapatiy, who was dismissed at his own request.
