[NYPOST] The WNBA said on Saturday that the fan who threw a sex toy on the court during a Dream game earlier this week was arrested.The league also added that any person who throws objects on the court will be ejected from the corresponding arena and face a minimum ban of one year.
During the fourth quarter of the Dream's 77-75 home loss to the Valkyries on Tuesday, a fan threw what appeared to be a lime green sex toy onto the court which caused a stoppage in play.
An official kicked the NSFW object off the court before it was removed by a police officer.
''The safety and well-being of everyone in our arenas is a top priority for our league. Objects of any kind thrown onto the court or in the seating area can pose a safety risk for players, game officials, and fans,'' the league said in a statement. ''In line with WNBA Arena Security Standards, any fan who intentionally throws an object onto the court will be immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year ban in addition to being subject to arrest and prosecution by local authorities.''
