| NASA says 20% of workforce to depart space agency |

| [IsraelTimes] About 20% of the employees at the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration are set to depart the space agency, a NASA spokesperson says. Around 3,870 individuals are expected to depart, but that number may change in the coming days and weeks, the spokesperson says, adding that the remaining number of employees at the agency would be around 14,000. |

| #5 I don't think NASA needs to be cut back. I think it needs to be completely shut down. I think the people who worked there need their last twenty years of paychecks clawed back if possible. The worst thing they've done is give people the impression that space was really being explored for the last fifty years with their pathetic little space scuttle. |

| #1 The last time I got involved in a conversation about NASA cuts here at Rantburg (around 20 years ago) a frequent commenter went completely nuts and impugned me, my family and my ancestors. I wonder if he is one of those departing. |
