Tamiya chairman Shunsaku Tamiya dies at 90 |

[DailyExpress] TOKYO: Tamiya Corporation has announced the passing of its longtime chairman, Shunsaku Tamiya, who died on Friday (July 18), at the age of 90. In a statement released on Tamiya’s official Facebook page, the company expressed deepest gratitude for the support shown during Tamiya’s lifetime. They confirmed that his funeral was held privately, in accordance with his wishes. A farewell gathering is planned at a later date, with details to be announced. Tamiya was instrumental in shaping the global popularity of the company’s scale models and RC kits. |
