[Korrespondent] ZSU deters Russian attacks in southern and eastern Ukraine.
The most active fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsky direction. Currently, five combat clashes are ongoing there.
As of 16:00 on Wednesday, there were 63 combat clashes on the front, which is almost half the figure for yesterday at this time of day. Such data was published by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report on July 16.
Thus, four attacks by Russians took place in the Severo-Slobodskoy and Kursk directions.
In the Yuzhno-Slobodskoy direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled two attacks near Vovchansk.
In the Kupyansk direction, the occupiers tried to break through in the Sinkovka area.
In the Liman direction, the invading army carried out 14 attacks near the settlements of Novy Mir, Nadezhda, Karpovka, Kolodyazi, Zelenaya Dolina, Torskoye and in the direction of Serebryanka. Two combat clashes continue.
In the Seversky direction, the occupiers tried three times to advance forward in the Grigoryevka area and towards Vyemka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders stopped two attacks towards Belaya Gora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out four assaults in the areas of Nelipovka, Toretsk and Aleksandro-Kalinovoe. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders carried out 26 attacks near the settlements of Poltavka, Novoekonomicheskoe, Mirolyubovka, Lisovka, Novoukrainka, Zvirovo, Kotlin, Udachnoye, Muravka and Alekseyevka. The defense forces repelled 21 enemy attacks. Five battles are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defense in the areas of the settlements of Poddubnoye, Mirnoye, Volnoye Pole and Zelenoye Pole. The defense forces repelled seven assaults.
Let us recall that in the course of 24 hours on July 14, Russia lost more than 1,200 servicemen, wounded and killed. The total number of Russian losses is approaching 1.1 million people.
