[Regnum] In Saint Petersburg, FSB officers burned 530 kg of cocaine seized as part of an investigation into several criminal cases. This was reported on July 14 by the press service of the FSB Directorate for the city and Leningrad Region.
The destruction of the drugs took place as planned at a specialized site of one of the city's enterprises. The department emphasized that guilty verdicts have already been issued in all cases involving the seized cocaine.
The estimated value of the destroyed substance exceeds 1 billion rubles.
The disposal procedure was monitored by a special interdepartmental commission, which included representatives of the city committees for health care, environmental management and environmental safety of St. Petersburg.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk reported on her Telegram channel that police officers had liquidated a large drug lab in Domodedovo near Moscow, seizing over 1.3 tons of synthetic drugs. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the wholesale value of the seized substances exceeds 0.5 billion rubles.
The drug lab was set up in a private home that a local resident had purchased and re-equipped specifically for the production of illegal substances. Precursors, equipment, and finished products were discovered during the search. The suspect was arrested by court order.
