#4 So if a business or individual uses an autopen for a contractual action does that make the document legal? Or do the parties involved have to sign personally to be legally binding? |

#2 That seems the right conclusion in most cases, JohnQC. The problem is proving it in individual cases, which will be fought tooth and nail in the courts, and then getting convictions for the Trump aides who ordered the autopen signatures. It might be time better spent to convict the pardonees for their inevitable next crime, and to ensure that the Biden people involved are hereafter kept far from the levers of power. President Trump has much more important changes to make across the American landscape, and limited time and political capital to spend to accomplish it all. |
