Treasury Posts Unexpected Surplus for June, Thanks to Tariff
2025-07-12
[RedState] Well, this was unexpected, but it's good news all the same. The monthly federal Treasury Report for June showed us something we're not used to seeing: A surplus. Oh, we're still in the red for the fiscal year, but this is a welcome step in the right direction and much of the surplus for that one month was due to tariffs.

#3  I'm reminded of that radio quip I heard and shared:

"Americans trying to come to terms why economy is improving despite media saying it would do otherwise."

As someone who appreciates the art of propaganda, that is well worded subtle negative weight against Tariffs/Trump. Basically, "why you should worry about improving conditions."

#2  Wait, is this before or after Trump destroyed the economy with chaos and tariffs? I seem to have lost track.
