2025-07-11
[X] On Thursday, July 10, 2025, ICE conducted raids on two cannabis farms in Ventura County, California, leading to confrontations with protesters. During these events, an anti-ICE protester discharged a firearm at federal agents. Several individuals were injured and hospitalized, and an undetermined number of farm workers were detained. The clashes involved the use of tear gas and other non-lethal methods by law enforcement to manage the crowd.

Newsom donor's cannabis farm under federal investigation for 'child labor violations'

From the link...
FIRST ON FOX: The President of Glass House Farms, the cannabis farm that federal immigration authorities raided in California on Thursday despite protests, has donated thousands to Democrats in California.

Co-founder, president, and board director Graham Farrar, who self-identifies on social media as residing in Santa Barbara, California, has made numerous political donations to the Santa Barbara County Democratic Central Committee’s federal political action committee and Rep. Salud Carbajal, D-Calif., according to Federal Election Commission records.

According to California public campaign finance records, he also donated $10,000 to California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom in 2018, and his most recent public political donation was to California Democratic Assemblymember Gregg Hart in July 2023.

#15  #12 Abu, I wonder how many illegals end as involuntary organ donors?

They wouldn't need to come to America for that, would they?

#14  They’ve been replacing partisan hacks with useful attorneys, jefe101, which is a significant staffing effort. In the meantime, they are short staffed for all the projects they have going.

#11  If you find that you really cannot do without Mexicans to harvest your marijuana, it might be possible to re-institute the old bracero program in which they came to work the until the harvest was finished and then returned to their homes in Mexico. That way we know who and how many are coming and we know they don't come to stay...or to vote for Democrats in our elections.

#10  Whose going to pick my pot, if not child slave labor?

#9   ^ But surely you've heard of human trafficking, right? Human trafficking of unaccompanied minors? Maybe you think it's not so bad if a 15-year-old sneaks across the border to work on a farm (pot or otherwise). But with all the unemployment among American citizens, I am of the opinion that American citizens are not too good for farm labor.

#8  "Unaccompanied minors found working at a pot farm in violation of child labor laws"

I really do not understand this line of thought other than the notion & argument that pot is bad, therefore everything associated with pot is bad.

Pot is an agricultural product and our Great American Literary Authors like Steinbeck wrote novel upon novel with themes regarding the MX Migrant Farmer Border Culture especially migrant farmers in Cali's Center Valley. Whole MX families have harvested American crops for centuries. It is nothing new. And now people act like they never heard or read about this part of US history before.

I tend to not disdain the things that worked for our Forefathers.

#7  My first question upon hearing this was "How did the 'protestors' find out about the raid in advance?"

It's not like they camped out at some random location waiting for stuff to happen.

#5  Newsom Protests ICE Raid on Marijuana Farm Allegedly Found Using Child Labor

Unaccompanied minors found working at a pot farm in violation of child labor laws, undoubtedly smuggled into the country for purposes of slave labor. But Newsom is very unhappy with Trump.

#4  Just soooooo typical of the Left.

But, I'm not so sure they have enough guns and ammo if things were to really get out of hand.

#3  They can no longer win at the ballot box so now it's the ammo box.
