[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are engaged in heavy fighting in the east and south of Ukraine.
More than a third of Russian attacks are concentrated in the Pokrovsky direction. There, the enemy is attacking in the areas of 13 populated areas.
Since the beginning of the current day, 97 combat clashes have occurred on the front in 11 directions. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Monday, July 7.
Thus, in the Severo-Slobodskoy and Kursk directions our soldiers repelled four Russian attacks. Another battle continues.
In the Yuzhno-Slobodskoy direction, the enemy attacked seven times in the areas of Vovchansk, Zeleny, Ambarny and in the direction of Kutkovka. Currently, three combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, Russian occupiers carried out an attack in the Golubovka area and were repulsed.
In the Liman direction, the enemy army carried out 14 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Novy Mir, Ridkodub, Zelenaya Dolina, Torskoye and in the Serebryansky forest, as well as in the direction of Serebryanka and Olgovka. Three combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy is trying to advance in the areas of Markovoye, Predtechnoye and Belaya Gora. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled all four attacks.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy is trying to advance in the Dilievka area. Our defenders have repelled three assaults by the invaders, and another battle is ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russians carried out 40 assaults near the settlements of Popov Yar, Razine, Mirolyubovka, Novoekonomichnoe, Lisovka, Shevchenko, Novoukrainka, Zvirove, Udachnoye, Novosergeevka, Kotlyarovka, Gorikhovoe and Alekseevka. The defense forces have already repelled 37 attacks.
Eleven assaults were stopped in the Novopavlovsk direction . Another eight clashes are currently ongoing. The enemy attempted to advance in the areas of the settlements of Poddubnoye, Fedorovka, Voskresenka, Shevchenko, Novosilka, Volnoye Pole and Novopol.
In the Gulyai-Polye direction, a battle is underway in the Malinovka area. Another enemy attack has been repelled.
In the Orekhov direction, two attacks were stopped in the Kamyansky area and in the direction of Malaya Tokmachka.
Let us recall that in the course of 24 hours on July 6, Russia lost 1,100 fighters killed and wounded. The total number of Russian losses is approaching 1.1 million people.
