[Regnum] US President Donald Trump once again discussed the ceasefire in Ukraineduring a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported to journalists by the Russian leader's aide Yuri Ushakov.
"The Ukrainian issue was discussed. Donald Trump again raised the issue of a speedy end to military action," Ushakov told reporters.
On July 3, Putin and Trump spoke on the phone for about an hour. At the beginning of the conversation, the American president spoke about the successful passage of the tax reform bill in the US Congress. In turn, Putin wished his interlocutor success and congratulated him on the upcoming US Independence Day.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, according to Ushakov, the leaders discussed issues related to the situation in the Middle East and the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine in a telephone conversation. Vladimir Putin stated that Russia will not retreat from the goals of the SVO. The conversation between the parties was frank and specific, Ushakov added.
