[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back Russian attacks in the east and south of Ukraine.
For the third day, the enemy has concentrated its attacks on the Pokrovsky direction. Five combat clashes are currently ongoing there.
Since the beginning of the current day, 67 combat clashes have occurred on the front. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report as of 16:00 on Monday, June 2.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, the Russian attack in the Vovchansk area was stopped.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked five times in the areas of the settlements of Stepovaya Novoselovka, Peschanoye and Zelenyi Gai. Four combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Liman direction, the invading army carried out 10 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Grekovka, Novy Mir, Ridkodub, Karpovka, Zelenaya Dolina, Torskoye and in the direction of Grigorovka. Three clashes are still ongoing.
In the Seversky direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attacked near Verkhnekamyansky.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russians stormed towards Belaya Gora. Our defenders stopped three enemy offensive actions.
In the Toretsk direction, five armed clashes occurred in the areas of the settlements of Dilievka, Pleshchievka, Toretsk and in the direction of Yablunovka. All attacks have been stopped.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders carried out 23 assaults near the settlements of Poltavka, Mirolyubovka, Elizavetovka, Malinovka, Lisovka, Dachenskoye, Udachnoye, Novosergeevka, Muravka and in the direction of Pokrovsk. The defense forces repelled 17 enemy attacks, five combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction , 12 attacks occurred in the areas of the settlements of Konstantinopol, Otradnoye, Novosyolka, Volnoye Pole, Zelenoe Pole, Novopol, as well as in the direction of Novoukrainka and Komar. Two clashes continue to this day.
There were 12 armed clashes in the Kursk direction.
Let us recall that on June 1, Russia lost more than 1,100 servicemen killed and wounded in 24 hours. The total number of Russian losses will soon reach 1 million people.
