[Regnum] Russian President Vladimir Putin has awarded the honorary title of "Guards" to six units of the Russian Armed Forces. The corresponding decrees were published on the Kremlin website.
The honorary title was awarded to the 1442nd Motorized Rifle, 368th Assault Aviation, 337th Airborne Assault, 102nd Motorized Rifle Slonim-Pomeranian Red Banner, Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov Regiments, as well as the 68th Army Corps.
The decrees state that the regiments and corps were recognized for mass heroism and bravery, fortitude and courage demonstrated during military operations in defense of the Fatherland.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on March 27, Putin awarded the title "Guards" to the 75th Command Brigade and the 29th Separate NBC Protection Brigade named after Hero of the Soviet Union Colonel General Pikalov. He also noted the courage and bravery of the fighters.
On February 22, four units received the honorary title. The 54th Order of the Red Star Command Brigade, the 92nd Order of Kutuzov Missile, the 200th and 27th Artillery Brigades became Guards.
