[Korrespondent] Ukrainian Defense Forces Hold Back Russian Invaders' Advance.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are taking all necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory.
As of 16:00, the total number of combat clashes on the front is 59. In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders made 13 attempts to displace Ukrainian defenders from their positions. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Saturday, April 19.
In the Kharkov direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our units near Vovchansk once. In the Kupyansk direction, the occupiers carried out five attacks near Zagryzovo, Kondrashovka and Petrovpavlovka. Two combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Liman direction, during the day, the Russian army carried out six attacks on the positions of Ukrainian soldiers near Novomikhaylovka and in the direction of the settlements of Grekovka, Glushchenkovo ​​and Olgovka. Three battles are ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy tried to break through our defense in the areas of Toretsk, Dachny and towards Dilievka. The defense forces repelled all nine enemy assaults.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian invaders have made 13 attempts to displace Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Novotoretskoye, Sviridonovka, Malinovka, Shevchenko, Zverovo, Uspenovka, Kotlyarovka and Andreyevka. The defense forces are holding back the enemy's onslaught - seven attacks have already been repelled, and six more battles are ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the defenders repelled seven enemy assaults. The enemy tried to advance in the areas of Konstantinopol, Privolnoye and Novosyolki. In the Gulyaipol direction, the Russians carried out air strikes on the settlements of Gulyaipol, Zaliznichnoe and Novodarovka.
In the Orekhov direction, the occupiers carried out three attacks in the direction of Malaya Tokmachka and near Novoandreyevka. Lukyanovskoye, Pavlovka, Stepnogorsk, Kamenskoye and Novoyakovlevka were subjected to airstrikes.
The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions in the Seversky, Kramatorsk and Pridneprovsky directions today. No significant changes were recorded in other directions.
The operation in the Kursk region of Russia continues. Ukrainian soldiers repelled ten enemy attacks, two more battles are ongoing. Russian aircraft carried out ten strikes, dropping 13 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy carried out 196 artillery attacks.
Let us recall that over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated 1,180 occupiers . Since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, the Russian army has lost 940,150 servicemen.
