Canadians Leaving the Country in Growing Numbers |
2025-03-05 |
[Epoch Times] Emigration rates have been soaring in Canada driven by the ongoing housing shortage and the cost-of-living crisis, a new report suggests. Ontario is the most densely populated province in the nation, but its 48 percent share of departures is notably greater than its 39 percent share of the total population of Canada.![]() Manitoba, Quebec, and Saskatchewan were the only provinces to experience an increase in incoming migrants at 14 percent, 2 percent, and 0.2 percent respectively. Alberta remained the most sought-after destination for individuals moving within Canada, despite a slight decrease in its in-migration figures compared to 2023. The slowdown in immigration and interprovincial migration, rising emigration, and a growing number of permanent residents leaving the country came at a benefit to renters, the report said. |

#9 In a twist of fate, I read a deal about how there are certain locales in Central/South America who are upset Norte Gringos are moving into their community, don't know the language, and upset the local economics. Passive confirmation would include USA daytime shows like House Hunters International. |

#7 Are they going to Cuba? It's socialist, too. Justine's father used to run it. |

#6 Trump says Canada should be the 51st state. Perhaps Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba could be numbers 51, 52, and 53. It sure would make the map(s) look funny. |

#1 OH! Great, another bunch of Northerners telling us "That's not the way we did it back in _____". We would do wisely to be demanding they be retrained in the USA methods of operation. Because unlike Canada, the USA is NOT Socialist. |
