| Social Security Retroactive Payments are being received this week |

| [SSAblog] Last week, the SSAdmin announced they would be expediting retroactive Social Security payments as authorized by the Social Security Fairness Act (see link). Today, I've received word from a number of people who had multi thousand dollar deposits made into their bank accounts. It will have an immediate effect on the money supply M1 (I think up about $100B) and subsequently on the rates for treasury instruments, the CPI and so forth. |
