[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an operation in the Kursk direction. Today, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 30 attacks by the invading army in this direction.
The defense forces are focusing their efforts on disrupting the Russian invaders' offensive plans and exhausting their combat potential. Since the beginning of the day, 97 combat clashes have occurred. This was noted in the General Staff's report on Sunday, March 2.
The enemy launched one missile and 62 air strikes, using four missiles and 62 guided bombs, 869 kamikaze drone strikes, and carried out more than four thousand shelling attacks on the positions of our troops.
In the Kharkov direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled an enemy assault near the settlement of Volchansk. At the same time, the enemy dropped four guided air bombs near the settlement of Dovzhik.
The enemy attacked our fortifications three times in the Kupyansk direction in the areas of the settlements of Zagryzovo, Petrovpavlovka and Lozovaya, one combat contact is still ongoing.
In the Liman direction, Russian troops stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders 15 times near Novoye, Yampolovka and Novomykhaylovka.
Today our troops repelled four enemy attacks in the areas of Chasovy Yar, Grigoryevka and Aleksandro-Shultinoye in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Toretsk direction, the occupiers stormed our defenders' positions near Toretskaya and Shcherbinovka 14 times today. One combat clash is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 18 assault and offensive actions during the day. The greatest activity of the Russian occupiers continued in the areas of the settlements of Tarasovka, Luch, Pokrovsk, Kotlino, Udachnoye, Kotlyarovka, Andreyevka, Vodyanoye Vtoroy and Ulakly, two combat contacts are still ongoing. The enemy carried out air strikes with guided bombs on the settlements of Pokrovsk, Grishino, Leontovichi, Udachnoye, Alekseyevka, Novopavlovka and Orekhovo.
According to preliminary estimates, today our soldiers eliminated 100 and wounded 83 occupiers in this direction; destroyed an armored combat vehicle, an armored personnel carrier, seven vehicles, a motorcycle, three mortars and a cannon, and also significantly damaged a car, a portable electronic warfare station and three enemy weapons.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the invaders carried out four attacks on Ukrainian troops, the enemy tried to advance in the directions of the settlements of Konstantinopol, Privolnoye and Skudnoye. At the same time, the enemy carried out air strikes on the areas of the settlements of Voskresenka and Yanvarskoye.
In the Gulyai-Polye direction, the aggressor carried out airstrikes in the areas of Gulyai-Polye, Varvarovka and Zheleznodorozhny.
In the Orekhovo direction, two armed clashes occurred in the areas of the settlements of Nesteryanka and Novodanilovka.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our defenders three times.
In the Seversky direction, the enemy has not carried out any active actions since the beginning of the day.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an operation in the Kursk direction. Today, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 30 attacks by the invading army in this direction, in addition, the enemy's aviation carried out 14 airstrikes, overthrowing 23 KAB, the enemy also carried out 398 shellings of populated areas and positions of our troops, including 11 from multiple launch rocket systems.
While in other areas there were no significant changes in the situation.
The General Staff recognized the Ukrainian soldiers of the 44th separate artillery brigade named after Hetman Danylo Apostol and the 79th border detachment, who steadfastly held back the invasion of superior enemy forces.
Let us recall that earlier the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a set of thermobaric munitions belonging to the Russians in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region in the Selidovoe area.
Air forces hit an enemy command and observation post in Zaporozhye. A residential building near the village of Kopani, which was used by the 1429th motorized rifle regiment of the occupiers, came under attack.
