During a traditional religious festival in the Indian city of Tirur in the state of Kerala, one of five elephants lost its temper and attacked people who wanted to take pictures with it.
The footage shows the driver trying to calm the animal down, but the elephant grabbed the passerby by the leg with its trunk, swung him in the air, and then threw him aside. The victim has now been taken to hospital and is in critical condition.
The channel notes that several people were also injured in the stampede that arose from panic. It took about two hours to calm the elephant with chains.
